Dutch photographer Katy Strange captures the friends and loved ones who have shared her bed in the playful series 789. Named for the number of days she documented her bedfellows, the work is both chic and casual, the many interesting faces shot in minimalist black and white. A self-professed “quirky, cuddly sleeper,” Strange’s bird’s-eye view of she and her bunkmates dubs as a photographic diary of her treasured relationships while at university. 789 is one girl’s chronicle of youth and love, enjoying with unceremonious intimacy the easy comfort and dear memories of a good friend.
