During the summer, breathtaking storm fronts sweep across Sydney, Australia. However majestic these tempests may be, there are few spectators passionate enough to swim out into the middle of the chaos. Photographer Jem Cresswell dove into the dark waters to paddle 200 meters out to sea, placing himself in a prime position to watch the clouds roll in. Here he captured the perfect shot, two mighty forces of nature colliding. Shortly after this photo was taken, Cresswell was driven back to shore by the lightning and strong winds, feeling very much alive from the shoot.
