Presented by Tokyo Institute of Photography (TIP) and Brooklyn-born United Photo Industries (UPI), the competition’s goal is provide an opportunity for photographers to present their artistic visions beyond country and continental borders, opening up the possibilities for cross-pollination and cross-border collaborations.

Additionally, one grand prize winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip to participate in the Tokyo International Portfolio Review taking place in August 2014 in Tokyo, a double-page feature in Japan’s PHaT PHOTO magazine, and a special feature in Lens Culture.
