Alison Zavos, Founder of Feature Shoot
Alison Zavos is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Feature Shoot. Since she launched the digital platform in 2008, Feature Shoot has published articles and interviews with more than 5,000 photographers.
Zavos is an active member of the photography community. Over the past 15 years, she has curated dozens of international photography shows spanning all genres.
The Feature Shoot Emerging Photography Awards, launched by Zavos in 2014, has boosted the careers of many notable photographers.
Emily Shornick, Photo Campaign Manager, Netflix
Emily Shornick is a senior photo creative with expertise in art direction and strategy for publicity, marketing, advertising and editorial. She currently manages 360 photography campaigns for Netflix, where she has led photo strategy on over 50 series including Wednesday, Cobra Kai, and Outer Banks. Previously Shornick has created imagery for iconic brands including New York Magazine, Conde Nast, Time Inc, Refinery29, Tory Burch, Target, Uber, Facebook, Gap, ASICS, Sorel, and Revlon. She resides in Los Angeles with her cat Daguerre.
Lieve Beumer, Head of Photography, Flowers Gallery (London)
Lieve Beumer is Director of Photography at Flowers Gallery. She joined the gallery after graduating from the University of Amsterdam in 2013. Lieve manages the photography department, representing an international and widely recognized roster of artists.
The department curates an average of six exhibitions a year and is recognized for their engagement with important socio-cultural, political and environmental themes.
Catlin Langford, Curator at the Centre for Contemporary Photography in Melbourne
Catlin Langford is a curator, writer and researcher, specialising in photography. She is currently Curator at the Centre for Contemporary Photography in Melbourne/Naarm where she curated exhibitions featuring the works of Omar Victor Diop, Odette England, Rinko Kawauchi, Pixy Liao and Stephanie Syjuco. Independently, she has curated exhibitions for Photolux Festival, Photo Oxford and Curatorial.
She was previously the inaugural Curatorial Fellow in Photography at the Victoria and Albert Museum and has held positions at the Royal College of Art, Guildhall School/Barbican and the Royal Collection Trust. She has spoken about art, photography and visual culture at numerous international organisations, including the University of Oxford, National Galleries of Scotland and The Photographers’ Gallery.
Her writing has featured in ‘1000 Words’, ‘Photographica’, and ‘Amateur Photographer’ and her debut publication ‘Colour Mania: Photographing the World in Autochrome’ (Thames & Hudson/ V&A) was released in 2022.
Gabriel H. Sanchez, Photo Editor, The New York Times
Gabriel H. Sanchez is a photo editor at The New York Times and a contributing art critic for Artforum International Magazine.
He holds an MFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design, where he is currently a professor of photography, focusing on topics of professional practices and curatorial studies in the arts.
Anna Goldwater Alexander, Director of Photography at WIRED
Anna Goldwater Alexander is Director of Photography at WIRED. She’s been managing WIRED photography and commissioning photographers for over twenty years. She has been awarded honors from the Society of Publication Design, American Photography, Art Directors Club and Communication Arts.
Anna has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the University of Arizona. She resides in Northern California with her husband, two teenagers, four cats and Trout the dog.
